Going retro.

First of to brag about a nail varnish!

BARRY M instant effects =] its amazing, you apply a coloured under coat of your choice I totally did white and then apply one coat (no over lapping) of the black effects varnish and you can literally watch it crackle its quite strange but really cool, and to make it last you apply a clear top coat! *^^*

Secondly, for a while now I've watched a retro watch, kinda old, kinda past its sell by date and kinda epically cool (timeless). I thought that swatch was the way to go, they do their classics, with the plastic rims and straps. Everyone had one as a child whether they knew it or not. But today I was searching ebay and I saw'ed the cutest plastic strap pokemon watch so I had to 'catch em all'! I can't wait to wear it XD

OH and a heads up on freedom from topshop... an outlet store called outfit totally sell all their jewellery £4 and under!

The worlds biggest cover up.

I was hanging around my house just thinking of the great famous love stories, and when talking about it with others there is always one that will strike the conversation, and thats the 'great' Romeo and Juliet by William shakespeare. I do not deny that is a classic and a well written play, I would however like to secure my right to freedom of speech and say that it is not a love story. I am by no means stating this to be the truth nor do I ask you to listen to my opinion at all, but thats what this is, my opinion, and only that.

William Shakespeare cunningly devised the biggest cover up in my words, and tackled something so controversial and forbidden for his time and even ours to date. He forged a love story to hide a suicide pact, one between two friends that were tired, crazed and annoyed with their society. They may very well have loved each other, but I doubt one could not live without the other. Being teenagers they merely wanted to rebel against everything they had been brought up and forced to believe, they wanted to make an impact, a difference and cause a stir. Being irrational, I don't think they thought it over properly, but nonetheless agreed that this would be what it took to change things, to end the family feud and to give hope for those of the future.

It could potentially have been seen as an act of selflessness but also selfishness considering the intense fighting that would follow the blame both families placed upon one another, the death and the pain.

Anyway my point once was that I don't find anything remotely romantic about Romeo and Juliet, a love story that ends in suicide is no love story at all; at least not to me. It brings with it no encouragement or hope for others.

UPDATE: poop is going down!

Ok so I know its been a while,
I lied its been longer than a while its been A LONG TIME...
SORRY! *^^*

So what have I been doing lately? well thats a question I frequently ask myself with no prevail.

I STARTED UNI.... Hertfordshire university FTW!

So I started my Fine Art course and in between being poop scared, being ill and spending loads of money on travel I actually love the place =].

My art group is AH-MAAA-ZONG! Such warm and friendly people I generally have a laugh when I turn up for art. No regrets on the degree front so far which is always a good sign.

What else have I been up to... I have bought a pooh load of stuff, I'm not gonna lie MAYBE I didn't need some of the things but they are of great use to me now that I do have them ^^.

I have recently become a ring fanatic 0.0 never have rings looks so tasty and wearable! I took some photos of my most worn ones though I seem to have lost a few (makes me sad)

I actually tried it out in westfield and loved it but my mor was all like

'its too big... you literally have a rock attached to your hand...'

DEMORALISING MUCH?!?! humph! she just doesnt understand... =___=

I would like to point out that the random whitey dots and splashes on my nails is acrylic paint, just so you don't think its a really bad nail varnish job! ><

I REFUSE TO LET MY FINGERS SUFFER FROM THE EMBARRASSMENT OF BEING NAKED EVER AGAIN!

Fashion styles we once laughed at...

Is it me, or did it not used to be quite bad to wear socks with sandals/heels?!

Its like fashion has taken a step backwards but thats not necessarily a bad thing because I quite very much like this style! I can go out and bunch down all my knee high socks, paired with some peep toed heels and a short dress and we're hitting the town =]

Though strangely this is a fashion statement I most associate with elderly ladies with their anti-inflamation pop socks, and tourists with their sports socks and sandals combo! Now considering those two images I have described right there, no one would even have put the words sexy, stylish or sophisticated with the sandal/heel and socks mixture.

Funny who the oldies were so head of fashion!

and the tourists... I have no words for the monstrosity that is flip flop and socks =___=

Anyway just wanted to rant a little

LOOK WHAT I FOUND...

I think that has got to be the biggest cereal bar I have ever seen, touched or attempted to eat... well I say attempted I didn't really it was stale and crusty and I felt sick.

That was once my lovely Mor's diet/low fat breakfast, which she forgot about and the sugar fused the pieces together and moulded them into the shape of the box.

So here was me thinking 'hmmm whats that, havent tried that in a while'

*sticks in hand to grab some and ends up pulling the whole thing out*

so yeah that promptly went in the bin after I laughed for a good 2 hours! The things you find lying around the house... the photos say it all... just LOLZ

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE?

Just thought I would show you lovely anonymous people a bit of customising, that I just so happened to have finished. I made these adorable little fabric roses a couple of nights ago, they were so easy I may make a tutorial when I'm bothered. The hat I bought in H&M and I thought it was a little plain and samey... so I decided that the roses would look uber cool along with a feather (I found in my sewing box) on my new hat! I know I was so excited when I found the feathers *massive thumbs up!*

I would like to pardon my crappy photocos.... (my word for photos lolz) but my webcam is the only camera I have at my disposal at the moment. =]

make over!

Hahaha I swear it should for definite be illegal to give me a lip liner but it was fun! I decided that I could never be a plastic surgeon, all the complaints and law suits that would be filed against me would so not be worth the fun of destroying their faces permanently. lolz I picked the most attractive photos I took (yeah I know and to think the rest were tonnes worse than these ones! ^^) I couldn't physically take a serious photo with my drag queen lips, I felt like leaving lip stains everywhere and eating stuff o.o...

On a more positive note I LIKE MY EYEBROWS! ^^ officially my favourite feature of me. I've been growing them for the past 2 months... what a big effort for something that I didn't even have to make a physical participation in lolz I under estimated the time it would take for the hairs to grow!

Anyways time waits for no one...

Everyone has that one person in their life whom they could quite literally spend everyone moment with, and never get bored. That person for me is my best friend, if we're not agreeing to disagree then we're having the exact same train of thought. It's scary how sometimes we can turn to one another with the same thought and then not have to say a thing, that knowing look saying it all! And don't even get me started on finishing sentences.

My point is, that when a person like that walks into your life you should try your hardest to keep then, shrink them, put them in your pocket and carry them around everywhere! ><

A quick greeting from the land of me

Just a quick update:

I finally have a break from work... a weekend =____= it's not much but I get to sleep off some of this agitation I have picked up from working 8 and a half hours a day every day for two weeks so... yay! I am going westfields on Sunday with my Mor and I am going to buy myself make up and a bag! xD I miss my me time and just hanging out with my lovely friends =[. Anyways... The sun came back this week and I was like 'say waaaaaaa!'. I don't get it, I was so prepared to get out my winter jacket and get out all my hats I LOVE MY HATS! but nooooo it's back to sweaty tubes and b.o lol ^^ o wells might as well enjoy as much time in my dresses as possible... I will need to buy some lacey tights! yum!

So yeah I decided to wear one of my hats and drink my Cappuccino with a tonne of sugar in it and pretend it was a cold winters day.

I love dressing up and well lets just say that if I could I would walk around in a gothic lolita outfit all the time I would, though in Camden I have my eye on a kawaii lolita outfit which I am going to buy for the next MCM expo when I get paid...

Which swiftly helps with the other topic I hold close to my heart... I am working now, alas only as a temp as a data entry assistant which is why I haven't really been blogging to my hearts content, this makes me slightly sad but I'm sure it'll be fine when I've shown you some of my photos from the lolita dress up!!!!

Kawaii Kera modelling!

I applied to be a Kera model today!!! xD Remember I blogged about going to the Japanese Arts Festival well about a week ago, and then I forgot to upload any photos =_____= so like me SORRY! Well, it was cool and when I find my camera I will show you some of the happenings that took place that day =]. Whilst there they announced that there would be another new event happening this time in Brick Lane called Hyper Japan! It sounds sooooo cool that I will definiately be checking it out, but... they also said that they would be looking for models for the event and the models get to be styled by the stylists from the japanese magazine KERA...0.0 thats actually amazing.
I checked out an old issue when I went down to the Japan centre in Regents street, it was yummy. So yar, it would be amazing to win such a chance, so its fingers crossed!
I crave sushi... @__@ I know we don't have any at home and I don't have any nori wraps at home, Waitrose here I come... after work. I must get back to work now.

nail varnish water marbling!

After reading on one of the blogs I follow about this technique I had to try it out myself, and well as my friend amy would know I failed the first time round o.0 quite miserably but I liked my second attempted quite alot! xD I'm not one for tradition so I did different colours on each hand =] To learn how to do it type in 'water marbling' on google and watch the video suggestions!

Anyways I am off to bed now, I getting up early to go to the Japanese Arts festival in the morning, which should be a lot of fun. I'll take some photos and post them... maybe xD if I don't get too distracted but the wonder stuffings!

SKIN... martens =]

These babies were so beautiful I had to share them, I know they're not new news but to me they are and they are wonderful! I quite fancy the fading blue ones with the stars!

Today I went to the SKIN exhibition at The Wellcome Collection in Euston, it was so interesting, me and my friend spent an hour and saw everything from clothes made out of synthetic fibre made to replicate the texture and look of real human skin to a video on spot popping. We had a lot of fun, people say beauty is skin deep and after going to this exhibition I can understand why, because the body without skin is pretty gruesome yet strangely fascinating sight. Definitely one to see!

Monday Madness

Mondays are officially the best day of the week, because its ice skating day! I don't usually get to exercise due to the fact that I am always running around having fun somewhere (though why that can't be classed as exercise I will never know) but when it comes to monday and Queens way ice rink have their £5 all day ice skating tickets I'm in! although it's like £6.50 including skates hire. =S I had amazing time yesterday skating around and being scared of killing someone (normal occurrence due to the fact I am unable to stop) and just goofing around. I love to skate!

However, monday's wouldn't nearly be as good if I didn't have amazing friends to go with!

UPDATE... THEY ARRIVED!

So my headphones arrived almost as soon as I left my house this morning =_= how annoying, but it was probably for the best because it poured down in buckets all day! I don't think you ever get too old for hello kitty, it's always a cute accessory when she's on it =] anyways... this is what they look like on me and I would like to pardon my 'home clothes' its an ethnic dress from Algeria in black ad gold which I sleep it ^^ actually I won't pardon it because I actually like it loads!

So... I bought my hello kitty headphones on wednesday and I'll just waiting for them to be delivered so I can rock the town with them on! =] I decided to get them on a website called www.artbox.co.uk which was good because there was no postage and packaging fee ^^ I saved monies! I wish I could say the same for all my other spending sprees but alas I cannot. I haven't spent too much money lately which is good but I still feel a dip in my wallet when I do go out and buy stuff, BUT to redeem myself I have been sale shopping so maybe I am saving money xD. Always I wanted to update right now because...

I am going out to see some of the worlds most wonderful people today and we're hitting CAMDEN TOWN! its so exciting! I've missed these girls so so so much and I may even see a good guy friend of mine too, life is getting good. I love that when you're in Camden you can be anyone you want and not have to worry at all about what other people think, I love the diversity and clashing of fashions that goes on in Camden. Another thing is that you can always find a good bargain.

Usually I buy skullcandys but they dont like me and tend to break easily and their customer service is really crappy and stupid and the warranty doesn't even work because they never contact you back. I saw these babies a while ago somewhere on the internet and I told myself I would blog them because I thought they were so beautifully different and rather cool to tell you the truth. I wouldn't personally wear the white and blue ones they are too plastic looking for my tastes but I would wear the other two pairs with black leggings and a tutu... ok maybe just an over sized t-shirt dress and big headphones and then I would parade down oxford street. That would be the life, if only I had that freedom...

Damaged and out of control nails

So, I have been neglecting myself ever since I arrived at this farm which is beautiful I may add! Anyway my nails are absolutely horrible and I feel like crying because I am usually quite keen and interested in the up keep of them and I noticed earlier that I had been walking around with chipped nail varnish so I had to remove it only to find my nails were chipped too and not var noice =[. I have yet to paint them but I know I want to use my beautiful GOSH silver colour because its just perfect against my summer tan and will look goodings with my dress for the wedding tomorrow! xD oh the excitement!

Second problem of the day is that my eyebrows are taking longer than imagined to grow, and it means I'm walking around with these messy eyebrows and I look like I've completely let myself go, which I so haven't. I decided about 2 weeks ago that I wanted luscious thick shaped eyebrows like alot of the models on the catwalk at the moment, I didn't anticipate the patience such a task involves 0.0 I would take a photo but I wouldn't wish that sight upon anyone good thing its mostly animals out here. I may give into temptation and pluck them for the wedding tomorrow that makes me sad.

Anyway I have include a photo of my nails for your inspection, and I'll included an after view when I've painted them later today after the clean up.
